This is one of BGE’s prime tower sites. Placed into service
during the first quarter of 1994, customers on the tower already include prominent
cellular, paging, and PCS companies. The 400’ guyed tower provides a wide range of
coverage in the lower and central portions of Calvert County, as well as portions of
surrounding counties on both the western and eastern shores of the Chesapeake Bay. A large
concrete equipment building contains adequate space for a number of wireless applications. |

Huntingtown
Nicely located in the central part of Calvert County, not far from
Prince Frederick, BGE’s Huntingtown site is just west of Maryland Route 2/4. A number
of factors, including a growing population and a local ordinance restricting the erection
of new communications towers, combine to make this an attractive site. Two equipment
buildings further define this as a desirable location for wireless communications systems. |
